Happy Canada Day!

DSC03282

So we’ve been in Canada now for two and a half weeks – long enough for us to start mispronouncing the word “about” and punctuating the ends of sentences with “eh”.  But not long enough to start calling each other “hoser” – yet.

Anyway, sadly we are scheduled to leave the country on Canada’s national holiday. (For now – we’ll be driving back through Canada on our return trip from Alaska.)  We are taking the Alaska Marine Highway ferry this evening – a two-day journey on the Inside Passage to Juneau, Alaska.  So we may be incommunicado for a couple of days, but never fear – I hope to have some interesting posts about life at sea ready for you when we arrive in Juneau.  (If we’re lucky, we’ll even be able to add some whale sightings to next week’s roundup!)
