Street Food at Papirøen

We've kept busy our first week in Copenhagen, mostly exploring the city on foot and doing a few of the free guided walking tours to get our bearings in the city.  Today we finally decided to use public transit and hopped on the ferry to Papirøen to have lunch at the street food market.

The city has temporarily re-purposed a paper warehouse (hence the name Papirøen - paper island) and allowed street food vendors to set up inside.  The focus is on world cuisine -- there was only one Danish smørrebrød kiosk in the whole place.  The rest of the stalls offered Brazilian barbecue, sushi, street tacos, and all kinds of other goodies.

Loving the disco cow hanging in front of the Cow Bar

It was a nice place for lunch and a beer.  We sat outside and enjoyed the first truly sunny afternoon we've had since we arrived in Copenhagen.  Velbekomme!
